Your Tummy Tuck or Abdominoplasty Surgery
Dr. Thao will perform your tummy tuck or abdominoplasty surgery under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis. Operation time is usually from 2-5 hours depending on how extensive the surgery (varies from mini to full tummy tuck / abdominoplasty).

Immediately following tummy tuck or abdominoplasty surgery, you will wear a light compression garment. A tube may be inserted to drain any excess fluid that has collected. You may experience swelling, soreness, numbness of abdominal skin, bruising and tiredness for several weeks, although Dr. Thao can prescribe medication to alleviate these symptoms. Most patients are able to return to most normal activities within 2 to 4 weeks.

Dr Thao may need to perform an additional cosmetic procedure to enhance your results such as Liposuction of the upper abdomen and both flanks to give you a better contour .
